Ye Olde Mitre Pub
The Ye Olde Mitre is considered one of London’s hidden pubs, as it is tucked down a narrow alleyway between numbers 8 and 9 Hatton Garden. This tavern was first built for the Bishop of Ely’s servants in 1546 and was rebuilt in its present form in 1773.
It is now a celebrated historic pub popular with tourists and Londoners alike. Walk past this pub and you will find yourself in Ely Place.
